Kentfield Tutoring, based in Kentfield, California, provides tutoring to meet individual student needs. Our goal is to enable students to think critically, develop confidence, and enjoy learning. These skills allow students to actively participate in the classroom, and engage with their teachers and peers to get the most out of their time at school.
We work with students in 2nd through 8th grades and specialize in tutoring Mathematics. Using the latest educational research, in combination with our first hand experience in schools, we have developed our own methods for teaching core mathematical concepts that are covered in the Bacich and Kent programs, and the California State Standards. We use hands-on materials and problem focused tutoring to help students achieve mastery.
We understand that students must feel comfortable in order to learn and that they need individualized instruction to make the greatest gains. Kentfield Tutoring utilizes small group settings, and our low student-to-tutor ratios ensure that all questions are answered in depth. The group setting provides a supportive learning environment which encourages camaraderie and students build confidence and critical thinking skills by explaining their solutions within the group.
